Introduction

The units being covered in this assignment are Unit 30: Location photography and Unit 1: Visual Recording in Art and Design, we have six weeks to complete this assignment and the deadline is 12/12/14.

This assignment aims to develop our knowledge and skills in the characteristics of location photography, we will create photographs on location while we develop our ability to use technology, media and techniques associated with location photography. It also aims to extend the ability to select and visually record from a range of sources in order to communicate information to different audiences whilst using the appropriate presentation methods and for a range of specific purposes.

We had three themes to chose from for this assignment;

- Science/Forensics

- Photo Journalism; the everyday or the unconventional

- Myths

Initial Ideas

I have chosen the theme of photojournalism; the everyday. For this I am going to document everything that goes into looking after horses without actually photographing a horse, I am going to present my images in a series and im going to try and include all the things needed to look after a horse eg. water, hay, feed, mucking out tools etc. I will also be going to different stables and taking photos of all the different facilities they have.
